allende: RIMM, VMW and V are not real gappers, just at new highs in large part due to pre-market indices gaps IMHO
Scott-ST Moderator: WB ridge
Scott-ST Moderator: why is RIMM not a Gapper Allende?
allende: Scott: does BOOM's recent trading range in area of gap a concern or not; of if it is, is it more of a concern on the long or short side?
Scott-ST Moderator: RIMM gapped from 127.97 to 139.70 why is that not a gapper Allende?
Scott-ST Moderator: 130.70
allende: ...because the stocks mentioned are gapping up 2 % a small gap, but it is attributable in part to the pre-market conditions since all the indices are going to gap up 1% or so
Scott-ST Moderator: hummm,
JP: But they are still gapping up.....
allende: ...take that out of the equations, and the stocks are up, reaching new highs, but not big moves

JQ: Calebo!!!!!
Cale: Hey
ridge: allende. great question. i got in gfa with very little slippage. on the other hand the boom trade i got slipped 11cents in and 9 cents out.
ridge: i think you should expect an average amount for both slippage and commission on everytrade
Jackh: Hello. I was in GFA @ 47.92 and out at 47.45
ridge: make sure the numbers work for you
allende: ...that was supposed to be a "whisper" to Ridge. Sorry
allende: Can anybody chime in on my GFA question: what were the fills like since I didn't trade the stock because of the big bid/ask spreads?

allende: Because JAVA came within 1 cent of being stopped out, I covered at break-even. MERDE! I usually can't sucessfully 2nd guess the formula, but I did set my RIMM long to entry and got stopped out for a no loss. So I don't know what to think!
allende: Have a great week-end everybody!
