Pontifff j5 all I have done on occasion is made play trades on the stocks that I liked and around 66% of the time I would have made money but the 33% of loosers would have wiped out that gain plus I would have had to sweat out almost all of those trades since they took soo long to trigger and bounced all over the place...

Gantra That's the confusing thing about trading is that y ou can learn a different "lesson" every day and often those lessons are contradictory. You relaly have to evaluate things over time and add it all up.

Gantra i'd love to be able to backtest these systems but it does seem difficult and time consuming. Since we are working with a different selection of stocks everyday. I don't know of a backtester that can first screen for the stocks then test for a certain system and repeat on a dialy basis backward thru time.
Gantra Steve, have you ever taken one stock and backtested it for a gap and 30 or 60 new high and then test for a 1% profit target like the Type Bs using TradeStation?
