lionel i am inclined to operate with much tigher stops than recommended on the basis that a majority of winners are acheived in the first 5 mn of the trade if after 5mn it does not work i get impatient and exit quickly in day trading to be impatient is a quality in my view

Ken-ST Moderator: There is a fine line between letting a stock move, and letting a stock get away. We use MAs and support/resistance areas to identify our stops

Gantra I really like Ken's approach as well. Putting those stops at support/resistance makes sense. However, I'm still curious about the profit target system of an arbitrary 1%.

Ken-ST Moderator: its a money management issue Gantra. These strategies are designed to obtain a minimum of 1%. Taking profits there we show that it is a no brainer. It is conservative, but impactful

Steve yeah, i'm doing a little of both, i set the entry stop 0.01 above/below your trigger price and allow for 0.05 slippage, but fast moving stocks like INSP at times still blow right thru the limit price. Until I've been trading w/ you for a while and have stats on how often this happens, i'm just hoping my approach is the right one. Would you suggest change or different approach from what i'm using (sorry for the long question)
