Ken-ST Moderator: danny, here is on suggestion. The wider stops usually indicate more volatile stocks. The more volatile the stock the more profit potential.

nin: trade less share or get out and in sometimes commission is cheaper

chrysler Ken, I currently live on my parent's farm. We don't farm anymore (dad retired in 1988) but dad died 2 years ago and mom is looking at moving to town now so I'm helping her look at houses. I live in NW Iowa, about 2 1/2 hours North of Omaha, NE.

chrysler dannyboy, if the family farm was bigger I would've started farming when dad retired but at only 120 acres you can't make a living on that anymore. I have helped the neighbors out with their crops for several years and enjoy it and they like the help as they are able to finish their harvest sooner and don't have to worry as much about weather.

chrysler Trading/investing is my current (trying) source of income. I do help the neighbors out with odd jobs when they need it but that doesn't pay much. Thankfully I don't have any large monthly expenses so I can really on a small income for the time being until I make my riches in the markets.

chrysler dannyboy, my parents house is anything BUT small. It is a typical 2 story old farmhouse (main section was built in the 1880's) and has been added on over the years. It currently has 6 bedrooms, 2 full baths, huge country kitchen, big dining room, nice living room, big storage room and a wide open full size basement! Needless to say it has way too much junk in it but mom & dad were married for 50 years before he passed away.

chrysler Ken, "cool" in the winter (when it drops 10 degrees on a cold strong South wind). Since it is so big & old, we don't have air conditioning so it is very hot in there right now but it is supposed to cool down to the 80's in a couple days so maybe I can start sleeping well at night again. Many of the rooms in the main section of the house still have their original 1880's windows which are very, very drafty.

"With the aim to keep this horrible disease from people, we decided to kill the dogs," Li Haibo, a spokesman for the county government was quoted as saying by the official Xinhua News Agency.

Reluctantly, he dropped out of formation and headed back to the fleet.

James-ST Moderator: As he was returning to the mother ship he saw something that turned his blood cold: a squadron of Japanese aircraft were speeding their way toward the American fleet. The American fighters were gone on a sortie, and the fleet was all but defenseless. He couldn't reach his squadron and bring them back in time to save the fleet. Nor could he warn the fleet of the approaching danger.

James-ST Moderator: There was only one thing to do. He must somehow divert them from the fleet. Laying aside all thoughts of personal safety, he dove into the formation of Japanese planes. Wing-mounted 50 caliber's blazed as he charged in, attacking one surprised enemy plane and then another. Butch wove in and out of the now broken formation and fired at as many planes as possible until all his ammunition was finally spent. Undaunted, he continued the assault.

James-ST Moderator: He dove at the planes, trying to clip a wing or tail in hopes of damaging as many enemy planes as possible and rendering them unfit to fly.

Finally, the exasperated Japanese squadron took off in another direction. Deeply relieved, Butch O'Hare and his tattered fighter limped back to the carrier. Upon arrival, he reported in and related the event surrounding his return. The film from the gun-camera mounted on his plane told the tale. It showed the extent of Butch's daring attempt to protect his fleet.

He had, in fact, destroyed five enemy aircraft.

James-ST Moderator: This took place on February 20, 1942, and for that action Butch became the Navy's first Ace of W.W.II, and the first Naval Aviator to win the Congressional Medal of Honor. A year later Butch was killed in aerial combat at the age of 29. His hometown would not allow the memory of this WW II hero to fade, and today, O'Hare Airport in Chicago is named in tribute to the courage of this great man.

James-ST Moderator: So, the next time you find yourself at O'Hare International, give some thought to visiting Butch's memorial displaying his statue and his Medal of Honor. It's located between Terminals 1 and 2.
