kim Sorry got called away. Still have synm but have a breakeven stop on it. Thought it would have a bigger bounce.
James-ST Moderator: ESRX.....had a nice run to new all time highs pulled back a little.........GRMN, noted it gapped above our trigger so we canceled......you can use that daily cahrt and see how we found that for a Type A though.....a consolidation candle near all time highs on daily charts......we make a trigger above that knowing that the stock will be trading into new all time highs

James-ST Moderator: SCHS Type B.......huge gap down, but noted there was support on daily charts at these levels.....we would not enter on a short trigger, and as of now it is very far from the HOD, range trading, no trigger.
James-ST Moderator: HOKU as a recent IPO has no short shares available........so the only option is waiting for long triggers.....far from HOD, we will examin if it gets near there again.
James-ST Moderator: CELG......we already discussed, is over 2 bucks past our long trigger this morning......now it is well within a range it has seen on the daily charts.....we will not look for another long trigger.........it is far from ideal, but some support can be found for issuing a Type C here on CELG
James-ST Moderator: SYNM is stuck in its daily range.....note though, that the 20 ema on the 5 minute chart has provided resistance to the upside the entire day.........
James-ST Moderator: It is getting oversold........we will wait as it approaches LOD to see if we will enter another short trigger....note however, in June-July it created a lot of support at this 10 dollar level......

Alaska In the confirmation process, as with synm, don't you factor volume of each 5 min bar also, don't you want to see increasing volume as it rises in price, besides crossing certain resistance/support levels?

James-ST Moderator: well, factored into the strategy is that we will most likely see a lot more volume if it were to make a new LOD.......that is very important, a retest
James-ST Moderator: capitulation will come and will be confirmed if we were to set a long trigger.......

Alaska Is there an appropriate setting for MACD to make some use of it intraday in a 5 minute chart for example?
James-ST Moderator: personally i like MACD for swingtrading........but for intraday trading...i would just use stochastics......watch the 1 and 5 minute cahrts of a stock enough, you will see that stochastics tell quite a bit
