Ken-ST Moderator: A single red candle in itself could mean a temporary break in trend
Ken-ST Moderator: A break in trend means a sideways to downtrend.
Ken-ST Moderator: If it all happens above the 5 day EMA, the break in trend often means sideways , or brief resting period.
ak will NKTR or OMCL make a good example?
Ken-ST Moderator: As long as the 5 EMA holds, the short term uptrend remains in tact.
Ken-ST Moderator: In the case of OMCL yes, it is still above its 5 day EMA. The red candle, while not bullish, doesn't at all means the stock is a goner.

Ken-ST Moderator: the first gap day it did ok.
Ken-ST Moderator: two days later, it did a bearish red candle

Ken-ST Moderator: Then you know that the red candle represented a sideways, rather than a downtrend.
